I wanted to share a recent experience with you and let you know of a new workshop I'm offering.
Recently, a friend of mine asked me to do a class with the staff at her office. "About what?" I asked.
"About disconnecting." She said. This amazing woman is a therapist and has many interns and therapists she works with. They all work closely with people on a daily basis. Knowing what I do, she said "They could really use some energetic tools to help them disconnect."
I did a couple of group classes with tools and information on energetic fields and how they interact during one on one meetings. It seemed they were getting a lot out of it and I realized how helpful would be for anyone working with people. This would be nurses, customer service representatives, teachers or even moms, but we all interact with the public on some level. And sometimes we come away frustrated, or feeling heavy.
When we are around people, connecting and listening, interacting, working closely with others, our energies connect, mix, create amazing things and have lots of fun together. Sometimes though, being in close proximity can cause disharmony. This disharmony can linger and affect our mood, energy level, and interactions with others. This disharmony can be energetic as well, causing disruptions in the way our energetic system flows and change the way we feel.
Take a look at the picture below.
This is an example of possible invisible communication going on during a session or conversation:
We have our own energetic field, which begins to overlap and blur with the other person, and there are unseen lines of communication taking place, like telephone wires where information is sent and gathered. Whoa! Who knew?
Most of the time these naturally connect and disconnect without a problem, but sometimes, communication is unfinished or stays connected unnecessarily. Not helpful!
In this workshop I'm offering, you can discover how to manage your own energy, and effectively connect and disconnect after interactions to be happier, more present and do a better job interacting.
I am offering as a webinar Thursday April 18th @ 10am PST/1pm EST REGISTER HERE
Also, I offer workshops on room/space clearing, balancing your personal energy, preparation for your day and healing your sleep space.
Please email or call me on my cell below if you are interested in learning about the energy system in a group or individually and we can set something up.
Dealing with dry winter skin?
One thing I find very beneficial this time of year is Shea Butter. Shea is a creamy-colored waxy substance made from the nuts of karite trees that grow wild in the savannah regions of Africa. It is similar to compounds formed by the body's own sebaceous glands. While shea butter has a wide variety of applications, it is most well known for its exceptional dermatological and cosmetic healing properties. Shea butter is full of vitamins like A, E and F (fatty acids) These help rough, dry, chapped skin and are important for moisturizing, anti-aging and healing. It has properties of a natural sunscreen. and anti inflammatory benefits as well.
Great on cracked elbows, heels and cuticles, shea softens tough skin and is soothing to irritation. My personal experience is that I have used it on my cuticles for repair, and what I notice is my cuticles heal quickly AND my nails grow stronger and longer! I love this effect.
My friend Sumi makes an amazing product with superior ingredients that is whipped and creamy and really affordable. You can call Sumi to order: (864)399-3570 or order through my store on the website HERE. Try it and let me know what you think :)
Let's march into March with preparation for spring. If we don't prepare our bodies for seasonal changes, we can end up with colds, congestion, allergies and chronic conditions. Clean out now to prevent spring colds. Build immunity and vitality by doing some inner housekeeping. You will experience a pickup in energy as a bonus.
Vata is highest in the change of seasons, which is those characteristics of cold, thin, dry, airy, and irregular. If you already tend toward vata, time to counter with grounding foods.
As warmer weather arrives, our bodies are ready to purge from all the heavy, sugary winter foods (I know you didn't eat any of these, but I did!)
As fresh produce becomes available, it's time for more fresh, lightly cooked and raw dishes like stir-frys, wraps and salads of all kinds.
Consider foods, supplements and activities to balance your constitution. There are supplements designed for cleansing different systems, from whole body detoxes, to liver, gallbladder, kidney, colon and others.
Let me help you customize your cleanse to your particular constitution and organs that need the most help. We can check your body and give it help in the areas it needs. Make an appointment to create an individual wellness plan.
Be well, and as always, I wish you complete health and balance throughout the season <3
In Ayurveda, winter is the time of Kapha dosha - of inertia, hibernation and regeneration. This is the time to rest, reflect, and withdraw some of the outwardly-focused energy and redirect it inward. In addition, the calm, peaceful nature of the winter can also seem a bit dark and heavy. Some people experience depression or lack of motivation during the winter months.
Depending on your overall constitution, winter cold can be wonderfully invigorating, or stressful and difficult. For example, if you already have a lot of heat in your system, or Pitta dosha, winter may be your favorite time of year when you feel your best. The other doshas vata and kapha are more pronounced and aggravated in winter.
Consider foods and activities to balance your constitution.
If you are very vata - naturally cold, dry and easily stressed, then warming soups, teas and lots of oils are best at this time, both internally and topically.
If you are kapha - heavy, cool and easily congested, then this time of year may cause the greatest upset to the system and you might choose, warm & dry crisp foods and plenty of ginger. Exercise and getting enough light are balancing to kapha individuals.
Fiery Pittas do well with cooling and sweet foods as well as moderation. Pick fruits and veggies in season, as they are likely to balance the body at this time.
Be well, and as always, I wish you complete health and balance throughout the season <3
There are so many herbal supplements out there, and you can take them in tablet, capsule, tea and powders. What about liquids? As you choose what delivery method is right for you, consider these factors:
Alcohol extracts absorb quickly, by-passing the normal digestive process. Tasting the herbs is one way the body recognizes them and helps them work even better. Some brands have organic gluten free alcohols and are quite pure, with no other preservatives. They usually have a lengthy shelf life and one can easily choose larger or smaller dosage by the dropper, making them great for children, pets, elderly and everyday use. And by dose, they are often less expensive than other delivery methods.
I personally love Herb Pharm liquid herbal extracts and have used them both personally and in my practice for over a decade. If you haven't tried them, they are easy to use - just add the extract to a little bit of water and swallow. That's it.
Some are quite pleasant, while others can be bitter. Many are condition specific, like stress manager, which speaks for itself ;) Try liquid herbals, maybe for winter immune health and let me know what you think! You can buy on my website with FREE shipping HERE.

A small caring gesture can change someone's day, and a healing session with a dedicated practitioner can change someone's life. It makes a difference. Thank you to all the healers in my life that helped me on my healing journey.

Allergies are more pervasive and debilitating than people imagine.
Many are unaware that allergies are the culprit of their daily discomfort. Allergies can go undetected and can leave you feeling tired, foggy, uncomfortable and even worse. Many health issues are directly related to allergies. Conditions like weight issues, inflammation, poor digestion, skin rashes, thyroid conditions, adrenal fatigue, blood sugar issues, and more and more and more.
When someone's joints hurt, or thee have coronary artery disease, your first thought probably isn't "Oh, they have allergies!" Things you never thought were related to allergies may be. Allergies and Inflammation are an immune response.
How do we get allergies?
Allergies are a modern disease. There are probably no cave drawings of people with kleenex. Maybe they weren't prevalent before antibiotics, pesticides, GMO's, refined sugar and vaccines. All of these things take a toll on the immune system and gut health.
Allergies start with gut health. When the integrity and permeability of the gut are compromised, large protein molecules can get into the bloodstream. The body says "you aren't supposed to be in here!" and launches an attack on the foreign invader, which is really just your dinner not digesting well due to gut issues. The body decides eating that food is not a good idea, and creates reactivity toward the substance. This takes a lot of energy from the immune system to constantly monitor, and further lowers the energy available for your day. The body is now more prone to other allergies, including environmental allergies.
As a child I was allergic to everything and was a walking sinus infection. The doctor continually prescribed antibiotics, which created more imbalance in the gut and perpetuated the allergies until it was a vicious cycle. You get the picture. Sniffle. Achoo. My allergies were crippling. I couldn't even visit people with cats for fear I'd have to be hospitalized (now I have a cat :)
I had allergies until I discovered Allergy Elimination.
I worked with a great herbalist who treated me for allergies. I was feeling better, but wasn't convinced this was the reason at first. Sure I had more energy and didn't seem as congested, but it could be lots of reasons, right? Over time, it became evident that my health changed completely and permanently and I was able to function without being sapped of energy! Now, it is my pleasure to offer the treatments to allergy sufferers.
The way I work with allergies for people is 3 -fold:
1. Get them immediate symptom relief if possible with herbs and homeopathics.
2. Treat them with Allergy Elimination method to free them for the distorted immune response
3. Rebuild gut health for lasting vitality.
Stinging Nettle Blend
Stinging Nettles is one of the best natural antihistamines I know. It helps alleviate excessive mucous and allergies with burning, runny noes and itchy eyes, etc. I like to use the liquid, because you can easily change the dose and liquids work much faster. This one is my favorite: Stinging Nettle Blend by Herb Pharm

So, I found out quite recently that I am a Synesthete. I have Synesthesia, ever heard of it?
No, it's not contagious, it's a neurological phenomenon where the cognitive pathways combine the senses in unique ways. Apparently, there is a small percentage of the population that has this. It's like having blended senses. Some people see sound, taste color, or experience other people's emotions or senses. I have the grapheme kind, where numbers have colors associated with them as do days of the week, months of the year, etc.
So when I picture a number in my head, it is always in color, and numbers almost always have the same color, it doesn't vary for me. For instance, a number 1 is white, 2 is blue, 3 is red 4 is green and so on. They have always been these colors and it hasn't changed over time.
I remember the magnetic refrigerator magnets were so frustrating and I would ask my parents why they made them in the wrong colors. Surely this confused other children and hindered their learning process? So silly, why would they do that? Well, a Synesthete did not develop them! I also see the days of the week this way, and the days of the week have a spacial placement or a 3D arrangement in space if you will, as do calendar months and years, etc. Who knew? I thought everybody saw it this way....do you not?
I also have the empathic version (don't know yet if it has a name) of feeling other peoples body's and feelings.
The empathic part of this is what factors into my ability as an Intuitive healer. I feel other people's conscious and subconscious thoughts, emotions and even the insides of their bodies, the muscles, organs, etc. It's not all the time, and not on command. I don't think about it, it is just evident to me, usually as a sensation in my own body, which I then have to see who it belongs to, me or the other person.
During a healing session, this greatly heightens the ability to determine what is going on in there. I might feel the pain or discomfort in the corresponding area of my own body. I might feel a problem or density in an area where the energy is not flowing properly, or I might get a flash of insight about an imbalance or a word that describes the cause of the issue. Then together, we clear and release the issue and send healing energy to the area.
If you are baffled or unclear about what is going on with your health, or an area of your life, check out an intuitive healing session. Book with me to do in-person, phone or online.
Have you ever wondered what you really are, why you are here, or what God is? Self Realization is a deep and lived understanding of these things on the Ultimate level. The term can be used to describe the clarity and realization of the answers to some of life’s conundrums. Many philosophers have written about the questions life poses, such as: What is the meaning of life? How does one attain happiness and fulfillment? The answer to these questions is not something objective and concrete, yet many seem to be searching for it.
Another word for Self Realization is Enlightenment. Is Enlightenment possible? Most people don’t consider the possibility of Enlightenment a reality. I didn’t. “That’s for Buddha and Jesus and beings like that, but not me”. Actually, in this day and age, it is very possible for people to gain a higher level of consciousness and experience profound spiritual clarity. Many are catching a glimpse of Unity Consciousness. This may sound preposterous or just not important, but it truly involves your life every day. Why do things happen the way they do? Why are there so many problems, so much suffering in the world? What is the cause of this? And how do we find balanced and workable solutions?
We will all experience tragedy in our lifetimes. Pain, death, disaster and loss are an innate part of life on earth at this time. They are inevitable. The question is: how prepared are we to handle and understand what is happening, and how will these events be viewed? Will they be experienced as painful and leave a deep scar in our psyche? Will they be viewed as a sobering opportunity? All situations are open for subjective interpretation. This choice of interpretation and reaction is empowering and quite amazing. All of Life is perfectly choreographed to help us grow, succeed and be happy, even events we previously interpreted as negative. Imagine how much easier life would be with further understanding and acceptance of this process. It would be enlightening, wouldn’t it?
To discover more about this process of positivity practices and personal growth, come to one of my seminars or schedule a session with me.
